Buffalo Design Collaborative

Offices & Retail

443 Delaware Avenue, originally designed by prominent Buffalo Architect Dwayne Lyman in 1929, was completely renovated in 2003 to accommodate the offices of the Buffalo Design Collaborative. The building is one of Buffalo's best examples of art deco architecture. In every case defining architectural elements were restored and enhanced to fully embrace the unique qualities of art deco expression. Today, the mixed use development serves as an anchor to one of the communities' major gateways to downtown. Storefronts on the first floor include notable tenants such as Avenue Art & Frame, Merge Restaurant, The Allentown Village Society and MJ Peterson Real Estate. The redevelopment of 443 Delaware received the 2004 Buffalo Preservation Award.
