St. Francis High School Capital Expansion Project

Athletic & Educational Facility Addition

In 2006 this multi-use athletic and educational building was completed at St. Francis High School in Hamburg, NY. New class rooms, locker rooms and athletic facilities were constructed on the first floor. Above these spaces, adjacent to the old gymnasium, a new 8,000 square foot gym was constructed to provide the all boys preparatory school with twice the available gymnasium space. The design solution integrated a modern-traditional expression of architecture that remains respectful of the surrounding campus structures while providing a 21st century statement. A new pedestrian quad was added in the parking lot to provide green space and a safe pedestrian path between academic buildings.
