Since its construction in 1929 Shea’s Seneca has played a prominent role in the social, cultural, and economic development of the Seneca Parks neighborhood. The prominent structure was designed to incorporate a mix of neighborhood commercial and retail space alongside the theater.
Schneider Architectural Services restored and remodeled the entire building including the historic facade and marquee above the main entryway off Seneca St. The newly renovated Shea’s now holds 5 commercial tenants: The Show, Public Espresso + Coffee, April Spencer Floral Design, Bottle Rocket Beer Reserve, and Cantina 62 Mexican-American Eatery. Shea’s also contains 23 luxury apartments named the Skyroom Lofts, after the legendary concert venue that once occupied the second floor of the building.
This project, located at 2178 Seneca Street, was dedicated on January 10th, 2019. It is on the National Register of Historic Places.
