The OLPH Church Project was a comprehensive expansion and renovation project of three buildings; a new church, an existing school and an existing convent. The convent was converted into a new parish center and houses the parish offices, a new community hall, and a second floor three-bedroom apartment. A New drive through the portico at the main church entrance leads to a spacious gathering area which focuses one’s arrival on a new landscaped prayer garden. The prayer garden at OLPH Church was designed to provide a featured green space that is an integral part of the entire church experience. It provides a natural and soothing back-drop that can be appreciated in the entrance, the worship space and many other areas while circulating through the facility. The worship space incorporates a Blessed Sacrament Chapel, a band shell shaped music ministry area and multiple devotional spaces. The sanctuary rests below a dynamic trussed clear story and is surrounded by fanned shaped seating creating a breath-taking yet intimate environment that provides for exceptional site lines and acoustics. The facility also includes a new sacristy, a bride’s room and lounge, an usher’s room, a reconciliation room and a new 180 seat community hall. The church and parish center are fully air-conditioned and accessible..
