The architectural services for this assignment were provided to GPK, LLC, a creative Buffalo developer who took on a very challenging project and turned it into one of Elmwood Avenue’s most popular mixed use addresses. The architectural commission involved the restoration of a city pocket-park and the complete adaptive reuse and expansion of the existing, derelict Queen Anne Victorian residence. The design team used cement board exterior siding to achieve code required fire ratings while retaining historic integrity. The building complex houses market rate apartments, a restaurant, retail and office space.
