The Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural National Historic Site is one of Western New York’s most notable historic buildings. In 1901, after William McKinley’s assassination, Theodore Roosevelt took the oath of office in the library of the mansion to become the 26th president of the United States.
In 2009 Schneider Architectural Services, PC assisted the local TR Site Foundation and the National Park Service in the re-construction of the carriage house that stood on the property in 1901. The mansion was totally renovated with new sprinkler and air conditioning systems and upgraded mechanical & electrical systems. Interior finishes were renewed and interactive exhibits were added.
The firm has provided a number of services to the TR site over the years since restoring the building. Currently, we are leading the restoration of the site’s iconic front porch columns that date back to over a 100 years ago.
Today the museum provides an innovative and compelling museum experience dedicated to one of America’s greatest presidents.
