The new Wendelville Fire Company fire hall is located at 6440 Main Road Lockport, NY. The new structure will be a 4-bay steel framed building with architectural metal siding, standing seam metal roofing, aluminum & glass bay doors, and fiberglass punch opening windows. The building is to consist of new equipment bays for storage of firefighting equipment.
The fire company has maintained a service at this parcel of land for over 50 years – starting off with a one-bay station. The current facility has now outlived its original service life and the fire company is looking to the future with this new proposed site plan development. This new facility will give the Fire Company the ability to bring its service up to today’s standard in being able to house up-to-date firefighting equipment, and to add to its fleet of apparatus vehicles. The intent is for Wendelville Fire Company to meet the fire protection and service demands of the area’s current, and ever growing, population.
The project is expected to break ground in late 2021 and finish by mid-to-late 2022.
